Since we began awarding them in 2007 many have tried but only a few can boast a set of Wolfpack Hustle Dog Tags. Jo has 3 sets, and she captured the 2013 Unified Title Series Championship. This year she laid down the law at the Crash Race coming in only 14 seconds behind the over all winner out of a field of nearly 4000 - most of whom were men. Shelby Walter stopped her at the Bridge. Will she be stopped again? We will see this Saturday....

Dante Young was denied his due shot at glory at the 6th St. Drag Race through no fault of his own.... Huntington Park will be payback time. We expect to see him in the top 16 once again....

The stakes just got raised.... 2012 Midnight Drag Race Champ Tim McGee is in.

We decided to reveal a different side of Mei to those who aren't privileged enough to ride in LA. Mei first appeared on the popular group rides when she was only 16. It was not long until she became one of #bikeLA 's most prominent ride leaders. Another fact? she's fierce on the track, at the Crit, and on the grass.
At the Bridge she took her pint sized frame all the way to the semi finals ultimately getting beat by 3 time Dog Tag winner and Unified Title Series Champ Jo Celso. Not bad for an 18 year old. We expect to see her in the top 16 once again this Saturday.

Track racers are natural favorites for this Saturday's 1000ft Drag Race through the historic core of Huntington Park... but pro BMX legend Robbie Roberto Miranda reminds us that a gold medal laden resume of pulling iddy biddy bikes at high speed can translate to Dog Tag wins as well. Expect to see that trademark side to side BMX pull in the top 16 once again.

Born and raised in Temecula and the youngest of 5 in a highly active family. Sport is in Nate's blood and his early years were punctuated by an obsession with all things running. It wasn't until rehabbing an ACL injury in college that he took a serious look at track cycling... Raised up at the Carson Velodrome by the likes of Adam Duvendeck and co. Nate is a member of the elite US National Team with eyes on Rio 2016. Nate stopped by the Bridge to snatch up a set of Dog Tags along the way. His was the fastest time, but only .59 seconds separated him from Willo with the rest of the field not far behind... Chances are Nate will repeat.... but this is by no means a done deal.

Underated but not unseen, Neu York typically tops the list at the local alleycat races and has expanded his track credentials this year including a trip east to the Red Hook Crit. Neu York is a fearless shot caller of LA's Gorilla Smash Squad and recent addition to the Leader Bikes arsenal. Always training, he made top 16 at the Bridge and fought his way into the semi finals where he was defeated by the eventual champ Nate Koch. Look for another top 16 placement at the HP Gran Prix.

In 2012, Nyrah was hounded into her first time competing in a bike race at the Tunnel. She ended up destroying a few ladies including Jo Celso on her way through the bracket and in the process seems to have gained a considerable taste for racing.
This year Nyrah placed 2nd fixed at the Marathon Crash 8th at the Crit and again a top 16 at the Drag Race getting beat by Unified Title Series champ Jo Celso. Not bad. She's been under the weather this week, but expect another top 16 placement at the HP Gran Prix.

Melanie Seeger is a absolutely committed to track bike culture. So much so she puts people in their place right quick when they question that commitment. This year she joined forces with Unknown and became a regular at the Encino track as well as the local alley cats. At the Bridge she made top 16 but was stopped early by eventual Dog Tag champ Shelby Walter. Huntington Park will be her chance to redeem while keeping an eye on Lord of Griffith only 2 weeks later. No brakes no masters.

Hardstyle Throwback Wednesday. Summer 2007. There is Tony Z smashing at the Encino Velodrome. It's amazing to think that back then Tony was enjoying his "comeback" to the sport of cycling... Tony has earned Dog Tags individually and as shot caller of the early freeway riding Wolfpack A Teams. This man is both a mentor and a threat to many generations... expect him once again in the top 16 along side his brother James.

2013 Unified Title Series Champion Edgar Willo Juarez got beat out Nate Koch on the bridge by .59 seconds in the Qualifier capturing 2nd in the top 16 elimination. The rematch is coming this Saturday in Huntington Park. Can Willo pull it off?
